A knit winter hat in Canada is generally called a 'Toque'. The Drink Toque fan, Stu 'the poo', from Scotland, reminded us that a 'Toque', while an iconic and traditional term in Canada, does not always translate perfectly in other countries. And, that got us thinking, how many different terms for a knit winter hat are there out there? What would a person in Australia call a knit winter hat/Toque? Or, a person in India? Sweden? Japan?

Choosing the right Shopping Cart software
a) Stop searching endless 'Top 10 eCommerce Shopping Carts' on Blog This or Blog That websites. The options are endless, and it is seemingly impossible to get a concrete answer.
b) Check your rolodex. Who do you know that is a web developer that has experience in eCommerce solutions?
c) Call and ask them what their preferred shopping cart software is and why? If it is isn't Shopify, they are probably lying to you about one thing or another. Shopify is a tiny bit more expensive perhaps, but much more user-friendly.
d) Outline to the web developer what your website is about. Have them outline how much it would cost to make at least the basic templates for you.
e) Weigh the cost against the time it would take you to figure out how to do it all yourself. Is that amount of time worth potential lost sales?
Chances are, in reality, you will need help when it comes to an eCommerce solution. They are simply more complex than your average blog or website. You could fight the end result, or just get down to hiring a web developer from the start, to help you out in the process. No one likes spending any more money than necessary, but there are certain things that save you more money than you spend. This is one of those times.

Does it actually work as an insulator?
Yes. In the winter, we wear toques/beanies to keep the cold out and the warm in. This is just the reverse of that concept. Keep the cold of the beverage in, and deflect the warm of the room and your hand away (or vice versa).
Can the Drink Toques be used for anything else?
Absolutely. We have routinely used them as protective iPod covers, iPhone covers, etc. Oh yeah, and it works as it’s own coaster. No need to wipe after these helpful partners in cleanliness. Can the Drink Toques be used in the summer?
Drink Toques love camping and BBQs. It is essential drink fashion for summer outings. The DrinkToque keeps your hand heat away from your beverage, and looks good doing it.
Are the Drink Toques durable? Washable?
Yes. In fact, I still have my original Drink Toque from many years ago. Just like a normal toque/beanie, if it gets dirty, wash it. Either by hand wash, or delicate cycle in the machine. Air dry recommended. It shrinks a little, but not more than original size.
